Q. Why is Federation’s Corporate Sponsorship effort attractive to sponsors?

Federation gives each corporate sponsor multiple recognitions in conjunction with their sponsored event or program;

Federation gives each sponsor year-round exposure through its website, annual report, and corporate sponsorship display board;

Sponsors reach the entire Capital Region, including Albany, Colombia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Troy, and Warren Counties;

Sponsorship recognition reaches attractive demographic groups including affluent business, financial, insurance, legal, and medical professionals;

Federation limits the number of sponsors per event or program so that each sponsor’s logo and name is featured prominently;

81 current sponsors is testimony to the program’s reputation and the value of such sponsorships;

Our sponsorship program is nationally recognized as the best in the Jewish Federation system (155 Federations throughout North America).

Q. Why should a secular business sponsor a Federation event or program?

Federation and its agencies fund non-sectarian programs and help thousands of people, Jews and non-Jews annually. Federation dollars:

  • Promote tolerance/understanding among groups in our interfaith community;
  • Combat prejudice and safeguard civil rights;
  • Provide court-appointed visitation supervision;
  • Help care for our elderly;
  • Provide shelter, food, medical, and child care;
  • Help children K-3 grade in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy via the literacy program

Q. What are some fast facts about the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York?

Federation funds five local non-sectarian agencies and/or major programs:

  • Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center;
  • Capital Region Jewish Coalition for Literacy;
  • Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center;
  • Jewish Family Services;
  • Robert & Dorothy Ludwig Schenectady Jewish Community Center.

Federation funds national and international disaster relief efforts. Jewish coalitions have assisted victims in several countries through the:

  • JFNA Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund;
  • JDC-South Asia Tsunami Relief Fund;
  • JDC Turkey Earthquake Relief Fund;
  • JDC Humanitarian Relief Fund in Rwanda;
  • JDC Haiti Relief Fund

Federation has been a partner in helping people – Jews and non-Jews – throughout the Capital Region for more than 50 years.

Q. Is Jewish Federation a religious organization?

No! Federation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is required to file an annual 990. Charity Navigator lists Federation as a Public Benefit organization.
