Lion of Judah
(A minimum individual woman's annual gift of $5,000)

There are currently 49 women locally in the Lion of Judah category:

Origin
The internationally-recognized Lion of Judah was established in 1972 to honor sixteen women who pledged $5,000 or more to the Miami annual campaign. Today as a Lion of Judah, you join more than 16,000 women in the fastest growing philanthropic arm in federation history. Why Become a Lion?

Tzedakah is a mitzvah.
As a woman who supports Federation’s annual campaign, you understand the importance of making a philanthropic gift in your own name.

Your generous annual gift enables you to stand as a Lion of Judah – committed to the Jewish people and tikkun olam (repairing the world). You embody strength and courage, and are a role model for others.

Lions are recognized for their philanthropy by inclusion in an honor roll, and are invited to participate in an annual Women’s Philanthropy Major Gift event, Headliner Series programs, a special Lion of Judah and Pomegranate event, and the bi-annual International Lion of Judah Conference.
