The Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center is a not-for-profit social service agency that provides services for preschool children through senior adults. The SAAJCC offers an Early Childhood department, a School Age Department (after school programs), Senior Adult department, Health and Physical Education Department with a state-of-the-art fitness center, gymnasium, athletic leagues, and three swimming pools.
The Schenectady JCC serves the entire community from preschool children to senior citizens. The recent $3.8 million expansion & renovation has made it possible to both expand the facilities and offer more programs in an updated complex featuring indoor and outdoor pools, new therapeutic whirlpool and state-of-the-art fitness center, steam and sauna rooms, gymnasium, kosher kitchen, craft room, adult lounge, and auditorium. The Center presently offers infant childcare, toddler, preschool and kindergarten programs. Older children can enjoy after-school enrichment programs, teen & tween activities, day care & summer day camp. Sports leagues, group fitness classes, senior kosher meal programs, and educational programs are available for adults. The Center sponsors holiday celebrations and much more.
