Today is February 23, 2018 -
Bishop Edward Scharfenberger, the Jewish-Catholic Dialogue, and Rabbis were featured at a Jewish Federation of Northeastern NY event, March 8 at Temple Israel. The interfaith audience was moved by the Bishop’s words about love and respect for the Jewish people, the need to be vocal about anti-Semitism today, persecution of Jews, stabbings in the streets of Israel, and persecution of Christians in the Middle East. The Bishop said, “…Christians cannot be anti-Semitic and be Christian.” He asked all to, “…stand together against any religious persecution.”
