On Sunday, December 10, 2017, 7:00 PM at Congregation Agudat Achim, Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York is hosting a community-wide Joint Society Event featuring Dr. Sharon Goldman of AIPAC. Sharon will present on “Challenges Facing American Zionists in 2017.” In addition, the evening includes a dinner and dessert reception by As You Like It caterers.
Dr. Sharon Goldman is the Deputy Director for AIPAC’s Northeast Region. She is responsible for managing AIPAC’s political, development, and communication efforts advancing AIPAC’s policy agenda in the tri-state area. Previously serving as its Northeast Regional Political Director, she managed AIPAC’s legislative mobilizations, conducted educational briefings with candidates, and tracked and analyzed local races.
Sharon has a doctorate in political science from Yale University. Sharon was a National Science Foundation fellow. She was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Ramapo College before AIPAC.
Sharon previously spoke at a community-wide Joint Society Event on the “Iran Nuclear Deal and the Future of the Middle East.” She also spoke during our Mission to New York City and is back by popular demand.
The cost of this Joint Society Event is $30 per person, or $20 per person ages 20-40, and $40 per person if reserved after noon on Friday, December 8. Reservations for the event can be made on-line or by calling Federation at (518) 783-7800. Spouses and friends are encouraged to attend. The society event is open to the entire Jewish community.
