Today is April 23, 2018 -
Maintaining the vibrancy and strength of Jewish communities across the country continues to be a concern – and now we have the answer. Endowments, once a luxury, are now an essential element of every Jewish organization’s financial stability strategy. Legacy giving initiatives are addressing the need for endowments and transforming Jewish communities across the country.
The Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York in partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation will provide coaching, training and incentive grants to eleven community partner organizations as a part of the four-year Life & Legacy™ program to develop a culture of legacy giving in the Northeastern New York Jewish community.
We are pleased to announce the following eleven community partner organizations that have been selected: Sidney Albert Albany JCC, Congregation Berith Sholom, Congregation Beth Abraham-Jacob, Congregation Beth Emeth, Daughter of Sarah Senior Community, Congregation Gates of Heaven, Bet Shraga Hebrew Academy of the Capital District, Congregation Ohav Shalom, Robert & Dorothy Ludwig JCC of Schenectady, Temple Sinai, and the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York.
Training is underway for these eleven community partner organizations. As a community, we are actively engaged in integrating legacy giving into our philanthropic culture, fostering camaraderie and respect among Jewish organizations and providing generous and forward-thinking members with the opportunity to express their passion, purpose, and commitment to sustaining programs and services meaningful to them. Working together collaboratively, we will continue to build those all-important endowments – financial resources that become the life line for our organizations through both good and challenging times.
We are thrilled to share this opportunity with our eleven selected community partner organizations, as well as with the community as a whole. The Northeastern New York Jewish Community’s participation in The Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s Life & Legacy™ program helps our community secure resources for generations to come. Congratulations to our community partner organizations selected to participate!
