Today is December 16, 2019 -
Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York is pleased to announce the 12th Annual Women’s Philanthropy Community-Wide Event with The Dynamic Duo Kveller & The Nosher. Kathryn Zox, Your Social Worker with a Microphone™, will moderate a vivacious discussion between podcast co-hosts Jordana Horn and Shannon Sarna. This special event will take place at Congregation Ohav Shalom on Thursday, March 28, 6:45 PM.
Jordana Horn and Shannon Sarna will be re-enacting their lively show as the co-hosts of the new Kveller.com podcast Call Your Mother, a sharp, sassy take on all the ups and downs of parenting while Jewish. With equal doses of humor and candor, journalists Horn and Sarna (with eight kids between them) talk with comedians, writers, chefs, and other notable parents about everything from addiction to flatulence to anti-Semitism and ageism. Nothing’s sacred or taboo.
Jordana is a contributing editor at Kveller. She has written for The Wall Street Journal and was the New York bureau chief for The Jerusalem Post.
Shannon is editor of The Nosher, focusing on Jewish food news as well as recipe innovations. She is the author of Modern Jewish Baker, contemporary recipes of Jewish baked-food classics.
The evening includes a wine, nosh, and dessert reception; all women are welcome.
Shannon will sign copies of Modern Jewish Baker at the event.
Admission is $20 per person, paid in advance; entry at the door is $25 per person. Pre-registrations are highly encouraged. To register, please visit https://www.jewishfedny.org/events/wpcommunitywide2019/ or call (518) 783-7800.
