Today is the first day of summer. With that, school is ending for the year, camps are opening for the season, Israel trips are beginning, and people enter vacation mode. Federation is winding down for the season as well, with our final event
of the spring, this weekend in our southern region (Columbia/Greene counties).
This is also a time of celebrating successes and wrapping up projects. Yesterday we celebrated the 20thanniversary of our Literacy program. Last night, the Niskayuna Town Board voted in favor of a special-use permit for the Capital District Holocaust Memorial, moving that project along.
And, we’re gearing up for next season. We’ve secured a few new speakers this week, including Congressman Delgado for a meet and greet with our community this fall.
Personally, I’ll try to avoid neckties for the next couple of months, but we’ll be rolling up our sleeves in our air-conditioned office busily preparing for a successful fall and beyond.
