The popular community fundraiser will once again bring together local barbecue teams, families, and food enthusiasts for an afternoon of friendly competition, great food, and community spirit in support of the Shalom Food Pantry.
The event will feature barbecue teams serving their best recipes with a focus on some amazing toppings. The theme is going retro this year with burgers and hot dogs, alongside creative vegetarian dishes. Attendees can sample offerings, vote in the People’s Choice contest, and enjoy music, children’s activities, and entertainment for all ages.
Over the years, Battle of the BBQ has become a beloved summer tradition, raising crucial funds that allow Shalom Food Pantry to continue providing nutritious groceries, emergency food assistance, and support to individuals and families throughout the Capital Region who are facing food insecurity. Proceeds from the event directly help ensure that local residents in need have access to healthy meals and essential pantry staples year-round.
Tickets are on sale now, $25 dollars for adults until June 15th. After that, the ticket price will be $30, so be sure to take advantage of our early bird pricing! Children's tickets are $10, with no cost for children under the age of five. Additional details about participating teams, sponsorship opportunities, registration, and ticket information are available at www.shalomfoodpantry.com/bbq.
