Public television station WMHT has produced four short documentaries with stories of local Black-Jewish history. This event will begin with a free preview of the first episode of the national PBS documentary series "Black and Jewish America: An Interwoven History," hosted by Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. Then the four local videos will be screened around 3pm, followed by a discussion exploring local identity, culture and community. Rabbi Debora S. Gordon will participate on the discussion panel. Doors open and light refreshments will be available beginning at 1:30 p.m..
