Midas Man is a 2024 stylish musical biopic of Brian Epstein, known as the “fifth Beatle.” The film is based on a story and screenplay by Brigit Grant, directed by Joe Stephenson, and starring Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as the man who took an unknown band from the smoky Liverpool clubs to sold-out stadiums. The film is set against the backdrop of Swinging Sixties London and is a compassionate telling of Epstein’s story, the man whose efforts propelled the Beatles’ meteoric rise to stardom, as he had to navigate societal pressures and his hidden, personal struggles as a closeted gay man.
