Hadassah was founded on Purim in 1912 and named for Esther, the heroine of our people. Hadassah Shabbat has traditionally been observed on Shabbat Zachor as a time to celebrate the humanitarian efforts and medical advances of the 300,000 men and women of Hadassah. Please be sure to attend any synagogue in the Capital District to be part of the community-wide observance.
