Lunch and a Movie! See the documentary film, "Paper Clips," the story of how a class of middle schoolers honored Holocaust victims.
Introduced by CST president Linda Bertrand, we will view this Emmy-nominated film telling the story of the extraordinary efforts of an 8th grade class in Whitwell, Tennessee, to collect more than 6,000,000 paper clips representing the victims of the Holocaust. A project of hope and inspiration, the film includes interviews with Holocaust survivors (it was made in 2004) and a German railcar brought over to house the paperclips.
The film will begin at the start of the Havurah Vatik program, and will continue (with an intermission) during lunch. You get to have your program and it eat too (well, not to eat the program, but definitely the lunch).
All Saratoga, Glens Falls, Clifton Park, Washington Co., Jewish seniors 55 plus are welcome! Keep Havurah Vatik alive and well - bring along a friend to enjoy this program! Vaccination required; masks optional.
We need your RSVP by June 14. RSVP here: havurahvatik@gmail.com.
