A Purim Discussion for Adults, with Rabbi Boaz Marmon

Join us for something quite different, as Rabbi Marmon untangles the synthesis of two underlying stories in the Megillah of Esther. Definitely "the Ganze Megillah."

Scholars suggest that this synthesis contains the courtier's tale (Mordecai) and a courtesan's tale (Esther). We will hear not only how comedic elements (ridicule of the king) fit into the story but also note hallmarks of a sex farce. And how this affects the overview of Purim.
