Havurah Vatik: Dean (and friend) explain his wild career

 

We are in for some fun today, as our special guest, Dean Gordon, and his friend (the little guy in red) tell us tales from Dean's show-business career.

 

He plans to take us on a tour of career highlights, including the lofty (directing intermission features for the Metropolitan Opera) to the more basic (stage manager for the Howard Stern TV show).

 

He'll regale us with tales of TV folks we might have heard of, from Fred Rogers, Jerry Lewis, Jerry Seinfeld, to the crew on Sesame Street.

 

Dean has worked in show business for nearly five decades, from stage manager of renowned opera companies to stage manager for Dr. Ruth and Maury Povich. He really values his time directing children's television, including Sesame Street and It's a Big, Big World, making some special friends along the way.

 

Dean and his wife, Robin, live in Richmond, VA. He has a daughter and two granddaughters.
