Isle of Klezbos is an acclaimed all-women klezmer group founded in 1998 in New York City by drummer and bandleader Eve Sicular. They blend traditional Eastern European Jewish klezmer music with jazz, tango, swing, folk, and original contemporary compositions. Their style is often described as playful, theatrical, and deeply rooted in Yiddish musical culture.

The band became known not only for its musicianship but also for expanding klezmer into queer and feminist cultural spaces. Their name is a pun combining "klezmer" with "Lesbos," reflecting the group's LGBTQ+ identity and community connections. They have been especially active in Pride-related performances and Jewish cultural festivals. Critics have praised the ensemble for pushing klezmer in new directions while keeping its emotional and dance traditions alive. Publications including New York Magazine and The New Yorker have described them as "cutting edge" and genre-expanding.

Congregation Shaara Tfille is an egalitarian Conservative congregation welcoming all Jews, inter-faith families, and the LGBTQ+ community. The synagogue is a warm and inviting spiritual home. Currently, there are Monday, Thursday and Shabbat morning services in person and via Zoom. In addition to the religious programs, the Congregation offers Hebrew School, Adult Education, Men's Club, Sisterhood, various events and activities.
