As the former National Director of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s Life & Legacy program, Arlene D. Schiff offered visionary leadership by creating a curriculum that motivates organizations to grow their endowments through current and after-lifetime giving.
Arlene has coached and mentored over 50 local legacy community coordinators and more than 300 organizations to embed legacy giving into their culture. During her 12-year tenure at HGF, Life & Legacy’s partners secured over 42,000 legacy commitments with an estimated future value of more than $1.8 billion, of which $250 million has already been contributed to endowments.
Currently, Arlene spends her time consulting with various organizations focused on strengthening their endowments and fostering a culture of legacy giving. Additionally, she serves as the president of the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires and the Secretary and Chair of Philanthropy for CHP Berkshires, an organization dedicated to providing quality, accessible healthcare.
