Rabbi Shalom Hammer, career officer with the IDF, will present "Trial and Tribulation: Keeping the Faith," which deals with the ways in which Jewish faith has made it possible to nurture resilience today, as it has in the past. A timely topic, he will discuss personal and global challenges that serve as a learning process leading to resilience, and what this process means to us individually and as a nation.

The lecture is endowed by Ruth Lauber and family in memory of husband and father Jack Lauber, OBM, a member of Beth Israel who passed away ten years ago. A committed and active Zionist, he lectured at the Technion and Ben Gurion University, and founded the Zionist Forum website.
