The Schenectady JCC (SJCC) continues its 2022 Jewish fall film festival with the viewing of Tiger Within, directed by Rafal Zielinski.

Tiger Within (2020) is an American film that follows Samuel, a Holocaust survivor, who develops an unlikely bond with a homeless Midwestern teenage, Casey. Despite their respective traumas and initial mistrust of one another, the two manage to provide a sense of family and mutual support for each other. While Casey gives Samuel a new purpose, after Sam’s tragic death, Casey is left on her own and the film follows the question of, will the guidance and advice that Sam imparted during their brief friendship be enough to see her through this time around?

The 95-minute film will be shown in English and will be available to watch virtually via a Zoom link from Wednesday, Nov. 16 to Sunday, Nov. 20. On Sunday, Nov. 20, Director of Community Engagement and Advancement at Jewish Federation of NENY, K.B. Goodkin will host a live Zoom discussion about the film.

Individual tickets can be purchased for $6 for JCC members and $10 for non-members.
