Roots of Peace: A Discussion About Achieving Understanding Between Palestinians and Israelis

Please join us for an extraordinary event featuring remarks from Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger and Khaled Abu Awwad as they discuss how we navigate the current situation in Israel and Gaza and find a way to foster a movement of understanding, nonviolence, and transformation among Israelis and Palestinians.

Both Rabbi Schlesinger and Khaled Awwad are associated with Roots/Shorashim/Judir, a network of Israelis and Palestinians who have come to see each other as the partners needed to make the change that can end their conflict. Based on mutual recognition of each other's connection to the land, the organization works to develop understanding and solidarity despite ideological differences.
