Dana Wright is a Content & Engagement Producer at WMHT, a PBS-member station for New York's Capital Region. Shantel Destra is the Managing Editor and Host of New York NOW -- a weekly public affair program focused on New York state politics. In 2025, Dana and Shantel released a half hour documentary program titled North to New York, which told a local story from the period and movement known as The Great Migration. Now, Dana and Shantel have partnered again to create a short series of videos highlighting local stories of relationships between Black and Jewish individuals and communities, as a companion piece to PBS' new docu-series Black and Jewish America.

Dana and Shantel are excited to speak about their companion piece to Black and Jewish America -- the stories they covered involve local civil rights leaders, religious partnerships, discussions of identity, and more! The two will speak about the stories they worked with, the process of making the videos, and what they learned from the interviews they conducted.
