Actress, singer, author—Alexandra Silber was inspired to write a book after performing both Hodel and Tzeitel’s roles (2 of the daughters) in Fiddler on the Roof. Her story focuses on what happens to Hodel after she boards the train heading to Siberia to follow her Sociaist-leaning fiancée, Perchik, who
has been exiled to a labor camp for his support of the resistance. But before Hodel and Perchik can finally be together, they each face extraordinary hurdles and adversaries.
A love story for the ages, After Anatevka is a stunning conclusion to the tale that has gripped audiences around the globe for decades.
Grammy-nominated international actress and singer Alexander Silber has starred in productions on Broadway and London’s West End Theater. She received a Grammy nomination for playing Maria in the recording of West Side Story with the San Francisco Symphony. This year Silber has written two books: After Anatevka and White Hot Grief Parade.
