Experience Fiddler on the Roof in a new way- in Yiddish, the language of Tevye and his family! Directed by Oscar and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey, the rich Yiddish translation by Shraga Friedman, z”l, adds new depth and dimension to the most well known Jewish musical in the world. Don’t miss the beloved story of a community and its struggle to balance traditions and desires in a changing world. The little town of Anatevka will bustle with the sounds of mame-loshn in the U.S. premiere of Fiddler in Yiddish.
Jewish Heritage Museum
Taking visitors from the 1880s to present day, the Museum’s Core Exhibition features more than 800 artifacts and 2,000 photographs that illustrate Jewish history and highlight personal experience of global significance. The exhibition is organized as a chronological and thematic journey through three main sections: Jewish Life a Century Ago, The War Against the Jews, and Jewish Renewal.
Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henry Ross
Henryk Ross risked his life to document the horrors and complexities of life in the Lodz Ghetto and to preserve evidence of Nazi crimes. Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross reveals more than 200 of Ross’s photographs, supplemented by artifacts and testimony and presented in the context of Lodz Ghetto history.
