Adela Cojab Moadeb is a distinguished legal advocate, media contributor, and social media activist renowned for her dedicated efforts to protect Jewish rights and combat antisemitism in academic institutions.
Born in Mexico City and raised in Deal, New Jersey, Adela earned her J.D. from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.A. from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. In 2019, she made headlines by filing a groundbreaking lawsuit against NYU for antisemitism under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, a case that garnered national attention.
Adela has appeared as a commentator on major networks including Fox, Telemundo, and Univision, and has advised on high-profile antisemitism cases. She has represented Jewish students at the United Nations ECOSOC forum and participated in legal and media delegations to Israel.
Currently, Adela is a legal fellow at the National Jewish Advocacy Center, where she works on safeguarding Jewish civil rights, and she is also an active participant in the Shield Communication Mentorship program. Her work extends to speaking engagements and philanthropic activities, furthering her commitment to Jewish advocacy and social justice.
