Professor Gil Troy, a distinguished scholar in North American History at McGill University, is currently living in Jerusalem. Troy is an award-winning presidential historian and Zionist activist. His books include The Zionist IdeasMoynihan’s

Moment: America’s Fight against Zionism as RacismThe History of American Presidential Elections 1789-2008, and the best-selling Why I Am a Zionist.

An Algemeiner J-100, one of the top 100 people “positively influencing Jewish life,” Troy wrote The Age of Clinton: America in the 1990s and ten other presidency books. Featured on CNN’s The Eighties, The Nineties, and The 2000s, Troy publishes broadly, including writing essays for The New York Times’ “Campaign Stops” and a weekly column for The Jerusalem Post.
