Women’s Philanthropy Presents
An Afternoon with Rabbi Angela Buchdahl & Abigail Pogrebin (Live on Zoom)
Buchdahl’s Heart of a Stranger is a stirring account of one woman’s journey from feeling like an outsider to becoming one of the most admired religious leaders in the world. Revered for her invigorating, joyful approach to worship and her belief in the power of faith, gratitude, and responsibility for one another, Rabbi Buchdahl offers both a memoir and a spiritual guide for everyday living—something many of us crave in today’s world.
Rabbi Angela Buchdahl serves as the Senior Rabbi of Central Synagogue in New York City, where she became the first woman to lead the congregation and the first Asian American ordained as a rabbi in North America. She will also serve as Rabbi-in-Residence at the upcoming Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly in November 2025.
Books will be available for purchase with registration or at the event for $25 each.
