Congregation Agudat Achim is looking for a Special Needs professional. The Agudat Achim Religious School strives to provide meaningful and engaging Jewish learning opportunities for all our participants. Our program balances a commitment to grounding students in Jewish tradition, culture and ethical commitments, while being guided by sensitivity to the individual gifts and needs of our community members- both teachers and students. Teachers are encouraged to bring their full selves and unique experiences of meaningful Judaism. Working with the congregation’s Director of Education, the inclusion coordinator helps create an inclusive Jewish learning environment within the religious school and synagogue community for all students and their families.

Albany JCC seeking qualified candidate, with 2 years supervisory and 2 years childcare experience, ages 21 and up to oversee one of our Albany Afterschool sites for Pre-K-Kindergarten to 6th Grade children. Staff hours are 2 pm-5:30 pm with planning and shopping hours included. Afterschool Dates run September to June, including 2 Half Days at end of school year. Staff will be responsible for supervision of children and running daily activities including fun, engaging enrichments. CPR and 1st Aid training required. A candidate is sought who is excited to continue the tradition of serving the synagogue and greater community with fine food and catering. Prior knowledge of kosher preparation and kashruth would be helpful, but is not necessary for applicants; training will be provided. Ability to work with volunteers is an important asset.
