How do you #MakeItHappen in your Jewish community?

It’s more than a question—it’s a call to action.

#MakeItHappen is built on three assumptions we believe deeply to be true:

  • Young people do care about being Jewish. They want to find ways to engage that speak to and reflect their personal needs and interests.
  • Jewish life is not monolithic or static, but rather a rich and constantly growing tapestry of interwoven ideas, identities and experiences.
  •  The Jewish future, and the contributions of the Jewish people in the future, will be built on the ideas of people like you.

With this in mind, we created the #MakeItHappen site as a digital space where dreamers and doers can seed and grow new ideas that will make a meaningful difference in the world.

NextDor invites YOU to show how small change can lead to big impact. Submit your inspired ideas for creating a Jewish experience that will make a meaningful difference in your community.

Between November 2013 and February 2014, NextDor, the group for ages 22-40 at the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York, will be partnering with the Schusterman Philanthropic Network to microgrant $10,000. Nationally, Schusterman will select up to 50 ideas from around the world to receive a micro grant of up to $1,000. Five ideas could receive up to $5,000.

Dream big. Take risks. #MakeItHappen.
