We are seeking an administrative professional to assist in the many facets of our marketing and fundraising program. You’ll help with donor information, stewardship and donor relations, direct mailings, and special events. You’ll also assist with communication efforts designed to recruit and retain staff and increase top-of-mind awareness of the Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors.
Some of the administrative support job duties include:
Plans meetings, manages logistics, orders office supplies, maintains office files and records, and processes contributions and invoices.
Engages in vendor communication, ensures vendor execution on contracted services, coordinates annual campaigns and other mailings, and accurately creates appropriate lists for direct marketing and fundraising programs.
Creates simple content, including text, photos, and images for website, blog posts, social media, newsletters, and other communication. Makes website updates and edits, takes event photos, handles general department inquiries, and ensures the accuracy of our mailing and emailing lists. Assembles and distributes newsletters and news articles as requested.
Processes all incoming donations, maintains the integrity and accuracy of our donor database (eTapestry), prepares donor correspondence using templates, and generates reports monthly and upon request.
Supports the fundraising activities and events of the department and the organization. Records and tracks event activities, assists with the logistics planning and execution of events, attends and works at events, and assists with internal events and communications.
Maintains the smooth functioning of the Sarah’s Corner Gift Shop: recruiting, onboarding, training, and scheduling volunteers. Maintains inventory for the gift shop.
Requirements:
Associate degree required (bachelor degree preferred) preferably in communications or public relations
3-5 years administrative experience working in a business environment (marketing or development operations highly preferred)
Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom; familiarity with databases and WordPress is a plus. Must be comfortable with and open to new technology.
Must have a basic knowledge of fundraising and communication activities.
