Jewish Federation of NENY 184 Washington Avenue Ext., Albany NY

Literacy volunteers work with inner-city students in Albany in kindergarten through third grades on reading skill development. This program provides one-on-one committed Literacy Volunteers for one hour every week to address the increasing challenge of reading competence for the youngest students in inner-city schools. Literacy Volunteers serve as supportive role models demonstrating a love of reading and imprinting a positive attitude on their students.

Volunteer for a minimum of one per week during the school year--September to June.
