This year the Women’s hakhel gathering on Wednesday, March 22, is set for 7 p.m. at the Shabbos House Student Center, 320 Fuller Rd., Albany. 

Raizy Metzger, co-director of Chabad-Sutton and the founder and executive director of the Manhattan Jewish Montessori, will be speaker. The program will also feature dinner and a raffle auction.

Metzger served as editorial assistant at Wellsprings Magazine and worked as a staff writer for Lubavitch.com, the official Chabad news service. She has given classes on the weekly Torah portion, feminism and Jewish thought. She also teaches a weekly class for women on Jewish subjects. Metzger is the mother of six children.
