The JCC and Capital District Posts of the Jewish War Veterans will host a breakfast and talk
with Paul Zonderman about his book “Justice in the Jungle.” This book has been described
as a page-turner and a history lesson. It takes place in 1967 in the northernmost portion of
South Vietnam, where the third Marine Division earned the Presidential Unit Citation.

Paul Zonderman followed in his grandfather and father’s footsteps by serving in the military. He enlisted in
the Marine Corps in 1961 and was a part of the Platoon Leaders Class Law Program. He studied law at
Cornell Law School and went into active service in 1965, shortly after marrying his wife Ann. Zonderman
worked also as an attorney and as a labor counsel at General Electric and later as a Niskayuna Town judge.
Paul initially wrote “Justice in the Jungle” for his family to have as a record of his years in the
military. However, in the ensuing months, interest grew well outside of his family and many people have
since asked for copies of his book.

Books can be purchased at the Open Door Bookstore and online and brought to the event to be signed.
There is also the option to buy the book at the JCC on the day of the event.

Cost: $10, Free for Veterans.

Please pre-register by Thursday, Nov. 10, by calling the JCC or by emailing judyb@schenectadyjcc.org
