Stand Up to Jewish Hate— A community-wide presentation by Matthew Berger, Senior Advisor for the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism

GE Theatre at Proctors | Complimentary light dessert reception at 7:00 PM | Presentation at 7:30 PM

In March 2023, the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) launched a new major mass media
campaign—Stand Up to Jewish Hate—across the United States to raise awareness about antisemitism and build empathy and solidarity with American Jews. Robert K. Kraft and family committed $25 million towards this effort to rally support among non-Jews and Jews alike to recognize antisemitism and stand up against hate. The campaign is leveraging all forms of media to generate more than 5 billion impressions, reaching two-thirds of U.S. adults an average of 10 times, and showcases what antisemitism looks like for American Jews today through powerful storytelling.

This campaign also established the Blue Square emoji as the universal symbol for the fight against antisemitism. The Blue Square was featured on CBS Mornings, NBC’s Today Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Voice, and Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen, and seen on billboards, digital and social media.

Matthew Berger, senior advisor for the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, will share the origins of this unique and innovative campaign, the broad coalition of organizations that are sharing this important message, and how the campaign will expand in the months to come to empower even more Americans to Stand Up to Jewish Hate.
