Julius Barbanel and his Amazing European Bicycle Adventures 

Join us in welcoming Spring and our 2024 HV Season, with the help of intrepid bicycle adventurer Julius Barbanel.

He will share with us photos and stories from his five recent European bicycling tours.

Julius has bicycled all over Europe, and we armchair travelers will get the benefit of bicycling from Nice, France to Genoa, Italy; around Iceland; through Sardinia (very hilly!); from Amsterdam, the Netherlands to Bruges, Belgium; and in Puglia, the heel of Italy.

Imagine the glorious scenery and the vicarious thrills!

Julius retired from the faculty of Union College nine years ago. He is a mathematician who loves the out-of-doors. He is excited to share his love of bicycling and Europe.

A delicious catered lunch follows the program.
