She was pre-deceased by her husband Dr. Leonard Morgenbesser, and is the loving mother of Rabbi Yaakov Morgenbesser, Rabbi Shmuly Morgenbesser, Rabbi Avi Morgenbesser, Mrs. Sara Kalish and their families, and a proud and beloved Bubby of many grandchildren. 

Maxine worked for the NYS Department of Education. Active and beloved in the Albany Jewish community, she served as a member and head of the Maimonides Board of Education, and lately as President of the MHDS Board of Trustees.
